Kinderhook Partners, LLC is a registered investment adviser founded in 2003, focused on making long-term investments in small public companies and to a lesser degree promising private companies. It manages a concentrated portfolio of investments and considers investment opportunities in a variety of industries, focusing on companies which have sustainable attractive margins and return on equity.

The firm’s experience stems from over 20 years of investing in private companies through Geocapital Partners, a leading venture capital firm founded in 1984.

Stephen Clearman

Prior to Kinderhook Partners, LLC, in 1984 Steve founded Geocapital , a leading venture capital fund. Before Geocapital, Steve was a Partner at Adler & Company, a NY-based venture capital firm. He was also a consultant at Bain & Company. He has been a director of numerous public and private companies. Steve received a B.A. in Mathematics from Haverford College, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, and a J.D. from Harvard University.

Tushar Shah

Prior to Kinderhook Partners, LLC, Tushar was a Principal at Geocapital Partners, a leading venture capital firm. Before Geocapital, Tushar was a strategy consultant with the Monitor Group, where he led a range of projects in New York, London and Tel Aviv. Tushar was also a WorldTeach volunteer in Ecuador. Tushar is a CFA charterholder and received a B.A. in Economics from Williams College.
